How to Boost Tea and Coffee Powder Production Using Innovative Equipment

Tea and coffee

Tea and coffee

Tea and coffee is the most loved beverage worldwide. The tea & coffee production business is a never-ending business. With evolving technology, people demand varieties that satisfy every person’s taste buds. Centpro has been pioneering the development of aroma and flavour recovery technologies to meet end customer’s demand.

Our evolving innovative technology solutions enable the production of high-quality tea and coffee products preserving the natural flavour of it. Centpro’s unique technology is designed to overcome the loss of aroma due to conventional processing.

Here are the five major steps of the coffee and tea manufacturing process where we as a Tea & Coffee extraction supplier can help you boost more production:

The Processing Method

Coffee beans are seeds which grow in the form of cherries. It is after they have been harvested, dried, processed, and grounded that they can be used to brew in your coffee mug. The cherries are put inside a pulping machine that squeezes out all the berries from seeds. The beans are then put into large tanks and often stirred to make sure the entire mucilage gets dissolved.

Similarly, the tea leaves are withered to make them pliable for the next step which is crafting. The tea leaves or Camellia Sinensis leaves are thick and waxy in nature; therefore, it must be withered to become soft and reduce its water content.

The Milling Process:

The dried coffee beans are then sorted and graded based on their size and weight. It might take painstaking hours. Using our specially designed air jet, you can easily separate lighter beans and heavier ones. The seeds are then placed under a special screen that allows only a mentioned size of beans.

Whereas, in the tea manufacturing process, the withered leaves are moved further for the bruising process. Under this, the leaves are bruised continuously to produce a single batch of quality tea. Today, many small scales and large scale tea manufacturing companies seek help from tea extraction plant supplier to guide them with innovative machines that replicate the traditional bruising process with higher efficiency and clean production process.

The Roasting Process

Each size of coffee beans is then packed separately for further evaluation of taste and quality. This process is known as capping. After this starts the roasting process. A professional roaster must be aware of his roasting equipment and degree of roasting. To get a lighter and medium roast, the coffee beans are roasted until they reach an internal temperature of 440F. Roasting or pyrolysis can be continued if darker roasted coffee is needed.

Similarly, in the tea manufacturing process, once the tea leaves are bruise thoroughly, they are heated to stop their oxidation process. This procedure is also termed as “kill green”, but it actually helps preserve the little green colour left in the leaves. The roasting is performed either under a roasting drum or using various crafting styles.

The Final Stage:

In the end, the coffee beans are grinded to produce the desired flavour in your cup. The type of coffee brewed in your coffee mug defines the quality, taste of coffee, and level of grinding. Finally, the grinded coffee is packaged inside an air-tight container that preserves its aroma and prevents coffee from getting lumped.

Similarly, the final stage of tea manufacturing process includes drying the leaves to preserve its flavour and aroma. Once dried thoroughly, the tea leaves are packaged and shipped to the market.
