FORCED CIRCULATION EVAPORATOR

In Falling film type Evaporator, the process stream is distributed from top of evaporator inside tube of calendria. The liquid falls across the inside surface of tubes in results makes a thin film inside tube wall. In most of application steam is used as a heating media for evaporation of solvent. The operation drives by gravity so the product and vapors both flow in co-current way. The successful separation of product and vapors happen in vapor-liquid separator.

Falling film type evaporators are Shell and tube type Heat exchanger, typically in our system we follow ASMI Section VIII.

Falling film type evaporator is productive in relation to its cost which is used in most of evaporation systems today. They also, contributes very high heat transfer coefficients. However, they have successfully applicable in handling low viscous type of fluids.
